About us
Who we are
We’re Causeway, the UK-wide charity who believes in the power of lasting change. We take people from existing to living, and empower our service users, including survivors of modern slavery and exploitation. Since 2005, we have expanded across multiple regions and now provide accommodation and outreach support to hundreds of survivors of modern slavery every year. Since 2018, we’ve been collaborating with organisations such as Merseyside Police, South Yorkshire Police, Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service as part of our LifeNavigate department. This department uses a trauma-informed approach to achieve our goal of breaking the cycle of crime. LifeNavigate is made up of 4 programmes; The Deferred Prosecution Scheme (MDPS) which works to support low level offenders of crime to avoid further criminality; ReFocus, which aims to support and signpost individuals who a motivation to change after being identified for potential low level Domestic Abuse; Immediate Justice, which incorporates restorative justice practices to combat antisocial behaviors and Plan B, which offers those in custody suites across SY support and advocacy to positively change the direction of their lives. Our vision as an organisation is to see vulnerable and marginalised people find their voice and place in soceity.
