SUMMARY:

OASES aims to create a more sustainable world where all children can thrive, by ensuring that children and young people have access to impactful outdoor learning experiences and good quality global sustainability education.

Through its work OASES seeks to instil an appreciation of nature and a love of the planet.  We educate about issues like climate change, natural resource depletion, the ecological crisis and plastic pollution to ensure that children and young people understand the implications of their ‘everyday’ choices in order to enable a more sustainable future for all.  We facilitate discussion and action to combat eco and climate anxiety.

IMPACT:

OASES primarily works with schools to ensure that young people have access to outdoor learning experiences and global sustainability education. Through it's work OASES aims to engender an appreciation of nature and a love of the planet in young people, helping to create a more sustainable future for all.

In an average financial year OASES works with over 500 schools, influences hundreds of teachers and engages thousands of children.

Although OASES is based within the north east of England, and most of its direct delivery occurs in this area, the internet has made global provision possible.  For example, the recent ECO2 Smart Schools Climate Conference reached over 4,000 pupils from 130 schools spread across 13 different countries.
