Overview

Are you a disabled person looking for employment? Are you looking for work experience? 

We offer: 

- FREE TRAINING for one day a week for 13 sessions in Disability Advocacy and Employment

- 12 week work experience placement*

- A qualification in Advocacy and Employment

Our course aims to restore your confidence and give you the skills you need to find work and know your rights. We do this using interactive learning techniques in a fun but challenging environment.

The course runs every Friday from 10.30 to 16.00 and begins on the 26th of April 2019. 

You must be able to commit to the whole 12 week course.

What you will learn

The training covers such topics as the history and models of disability, disability legislation, statutory authority services, advocacy skills and principals, employability skills and much more!

We also have guest speakers from professional bodies such as the Department of Work and Pensions, Real in Tower Hamlets, and Mind.

All learning aids will be provided including tea and coffee.
