Free E-learning course: Empowering professionals to work with Refugee and Asylum Seeking women

Overview

The IARS International Institute is pleased to offer a free e-training Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited course entitled “Empowering professionals to work with Refugee and Asylum Seeking women”, which will enable professionals to understand refugee women experiences and respective rights. 

This Comic relief funded online training aims at empowering professionals working with this group, from healthcare staff to religious organisations, to better understand the unique experiences of asylum seeking women at risk of victimisation. The training uniquely combines the first hand narratives and experiences of refugee and asylum seeking women in the UK with information regarding legislation that directly affects them, providing guidance to enable professionals to adequately support refugee women. 

At IARS we aim for the training to provide sound information which educates and raises awareness of the reality of refugee experiences.
