Introduction to Management and Managing People

This course will provide participants with a basic knowledge and understanding of the role of a manager, and how to improve their management effectiveness.

On completion of this training participants should be able to:

Understand the factors which influence effectiveness as a manager within the working environment.

The course will help participants diagnose what can be done to improve their own managerial performance and understand what is meant by management and managerial effectiveness.

They will also learn to identify the different roles undertaken as a manager and learn tools and tips that contribute to managerial effectiveness.

They will also learn about the causes of stress in managerial roles and understand the importance of time pressures.
