Overview

What is positive psychology? It is a Strengths approach that draws on a body of research which shows that people who play to their strengths perform better and are more engaged, successful and happy at work.

This course provides an overview and introduction to positive psychology and how to apply it in the work place. You will learn the tools and techniques on how to increase and enhance your own performance, energy and engagement and that of others by integrating positive psychology strategies.

Is it right for me?

This course is for anyone who would like to learn how to or increase their skills in using positive psychology to build motivation, well-being and a positive strengths-based workplace.

This course is very reflective and requires delegates to draw on and share personal experiences. Delegates are advised that, on occasion, recollection of events may result in very powerful  emotions. Should you have any concerns please do not hesitate to speak to HR &  Organisation Development.

Aims & Objectives

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Understand the PERMA model (positivity, engagement, relationships, meaning and accomplishment) and psychological capital
  • Apply the Strengths approach
