This social media training is aimed specifically for charities, public sector and social enterprises.

This interactive course will help you understand the landscape of social media and plan an approach that empowers and excites the people you want to engage.
You’ll explore social media, how it can work well, how to create engaging and shareable content and how to fix things when they go wrong. There will be lots of opportunity to discuss how you currently use social media and give you a chance to step back and really examine how to get the most from all platforms.
The course will cover:
• What is social media?
• Why use social media
• How to engage your audience
• What to include in a social media strategy
• How to enhance your marketing

• How to plan your content effectively
• Creating a social media policy
• Measuring what works and what doesn’t
The day includes plenty of group work, exercises and discussion – you definitely won’t be staring at power point all day. You’ll also be given lots of opportunities to discuss your own experiences and develop personal strategies to aid your work.
If you have one, you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own laptop, tablet, smartphone or any device you use for your social media. You will be practicing live exercises on the day.
