As our SEO & Health Content Specialist, you’ll refine and adapt existing health information for digital audiences, ensuring content is accurate, supportive, aligned with PIF TICK standards and grounded in user needs. Working closely with the Health Content Team, Digital teams and subject matter experts across BHF, you’ll create and publish high performing content that reflects best practice in content design, accessibility, language and formatting.
Supporting the SEO Manager, you’ll help strengthen BHF’s search visibility, optimise content for organic performance and contribute to strategies that protect our trusted health information in an evolving generative AI landscape. You’ll also use insight, analytics and user research to continually improve user journeys, making it easier for people to quickly and confidently find the information they need.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you’ll be an experienced digital content specialist with a strong background in creating or managing health information for online audiences. You bring proven expertise in content design principles, plain English and user centred thinking able to simplify complex medical information into clear, empathetic and accessible content that connects with diverse audiences.
Additionally you'll have demonstrable experience applying SEO strategies to improve organic search performance, including keyword research, on page optimisation and structured formats and you’re confident using tools such as GA4, Google Search Console and SEMrush to inform decisions and track performance.
You’ll have experience working with CMS platforms, digital publishing workflows and design tools such as Figma. You’ll be comfortable testing for accessibility, ensuring compliance with WCAG standards, and embedding inclusive language throughout your work.
A collaborative team player, you’ll have experience working in cross functional environments, codesigning content with health specialists and building strong stakeholder relationships. You’ll be confident advising colleagues on SEO, content design or CMS best practice, and able to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

About You

Ideally, you hold a health qualification or have equivalent expertise, with a good understanding of cardiovascular risk factors, prevention, and health improvement strategies.
You are adept at turning evidence and insight into inspiring stories and campaigns that drive real change. As a credible and energetic influencer, you build buy-in with partners and senior stakeholders, ensuring every interaction is engaging and every message resonates with the partners audience.

This is a field based to role, therefore willingness to travel to various sites and a full UK driving licence is essential.

About you
As our ideal candidate, you'll have:
• Microsoft certified Azure Databricks engineer and knowledge of Databricks Unity Catalogue with proven experience building and maintaining scalable Data Lakehouse pipelines.
• Strong programming experience across SQL, Python, R, Java and Scala, with excellent problem solving skills and experience investigating issues and delivering high quality data solutions using Git/GitHub best practices.
• Hands on experience in data modelling, data warehousing and ETL processes, with a solid track record of integrating, transforming and orchestrating data from a wide range of internal and external sources.
• A proactive, self starting approach to producing new data pipelines, ensuring data is well organised, high quality and readily accessible for data scientists.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, confident in simplifying complex issues and delivering clear, structured outcomes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to build strong working relationships with the Health Insights team and wider stakeholders with commitment to continuous improvement.

We are looking for a highly motivated Building Surveyor (MRICS, MCIOB) or significant demonstrable experience in retail building surveying with a successful track record in managing repair, refurbishment, and fit-out projects within an extensive property portfolio to join our team.
As our Regional Building Surveyor, you'll manage our Retail Division's property portfolio in the South East region, spanning 220+ leasehold shops and stores.
Your region will cover the South East, of England including parts of East Anglia, London and the home counties, Southampton and east along the coast.
You’ll deliver a full range of building surveying services, both reactive and planned maintenance, including:
- leading diverse projects, from essential repairs to rejuvenating refurbishments and exciting fit-outs
- managing contract and tender documentation
- fulfilling CDM duties, including being Principal Designer
- conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance inspections
- overseeing building maintenance
- performing acquisition and disposal surveys
- offering dilapidations advice
- building strong relationships with stakeholders
About you
To be successful in this role, you'll:
- possess a professional building/construction management qualification (MRICS, MCIOB) or significant demonstrable experience in retail building surveying
- have sound technical knowledge of all legislation relating to the fit-out and occupation of leasehold retail premises (Building Regulations, Planning, CDM, Fire Safety Order, Health & Safety, and Asbestos)
- be a highly effective team player with strong interpersonal, influencing, and decision-making skills.
- have extensive experience in all key aspects of traditional building surveying disciplines, including:
- acquisition and disposals surveys
- health and safety
- defects analysis
- maintenance inspections and management of remedial works
- coordinating with stakeholders, including contractors and consultants
- access audits
- building pathology
- dilapidation's
- fit-out design
- contract administration
It would be advantageous if you have specific experience in developing and maintaining a large retail estate.
Working arrangements
This is a field-based role working from home with travel throughout South East England, primarily your regional patch (as explained above), though periodically extending across the country. You will be required to live within the region.
Travel will be based on current project work and the need to visit various sites in project. You will be able to manage your diary accordingly to enable this. There will be overnight stays as required (on average, this would typically be 2 nights a month).
