Across your geographic area of South East Wales:
- Identify, develop, and steward supporter relationships with businesses, fundraising groups, and high value prospects.
- Understand supporter motivations, identifying opportunities across the Charity that inspire and engage, enabling them to achieve their fundraising goals and reach their potential.
- Identify and steward corporate prospects using a pipeline process resulting in applying for and converting opportunities.
- Be proactive within your area to identify opportunities for fundraising and raise awareness of the Charity.
- Manage supporters effectively using our CRM system (OneCRM) to provide excellent stewardship.
- Meet agreed financial targets, provide monthly financial progress reports, and put mitigation plans in place for any shortfall.
- Promote BHF’s activities and campaigns to raise awareness and drive income.

Working arrangements
This dynamic field-based role covers the vibrant region of South East Wales, including the bustling cities of Cardiff and Newport, as well as the picturesque areas of Pontypool, Usk, Abergavenny, Cwmbran,Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, and Blaenau Gwent. The territory also extends to the charming locales of Monmouthshire, Torfaen, and the Vale of Glamorgan. Occasionally, the role will also require support in the scenic North Wales region.
You'll need to live in South East Wales region or be able to relocate to this region.
This role requires regular travel within the area, and occasionally to other parts of the UK.
You must have a full UK driving licence at the time of application with access to your own vehicle.
There will be a requirement for flexible out of hours working to support occasional evening and weekend activity. You will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.

Are you passionate about creating impactful events and driving fundraising success? We're looking for an Events Manager, to develop and deliver innovative products and propositions that engage and mobilise individuals to fundraise for BHF.
As the Event Manager, you will oversee the development and end-to-end delivery of our product portfolio. This includes planning, marketing, the online journey, stewardship, on-the-day delivery, and evaluation.
Key areas of focus:
- AJ Bell Great Run Series Partnership (60%):
- Lead the delivery of BHF's official charity partnership with the AJ Bell Great Run Series 2025.
- Collaborate with AJ Bell, Great Runs Company, and BHF teams to maximise fundraising, brand visibility, and PR opportunities.
- Virtual and Mass Participation Growth (40%):
- Support the Product Delivery Team in driving growth and innovation.
- Work with the Senior Product Manager to develop new products and enhance the existing portfolio.
- Focus on product optimisation, life cycle management, exit strategies, and new product development to maximise ROI.
You'll effectively collaborate with other expert functions across the organisation is to ensure that activities are well planned, and project managed to meet/exceed financial and non-financial targets.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you bring experience of strategically developing and delivering mass participation events and activities to achieve growth ideally within a fundraising capacity.
With an excellent understanding of marketing techniques (especially digital) and knowledge of a broad range of innovative fundraising activities and principles, you have experience of managing and developing a diverse product portfolio. Using customer, market and financial data and insight you can make decisions to drive long term growth.
A strategic thinker with expertise managing commercial projects who can achieve objectives through analytical insights. You are agile and responsive to both internal and external factors with a knowledge of new and emerging technologies and trends in the events fundraising space. You also have the ability to interpret customer, market and financial data and insight to inform recommendations.
An excellent communicator and project manager, comfortable with juggling multiple, often conflicting priorities you'll work in matrix style across two key areas of the team.
Working arrangements
This is a 12-month fixed term contract.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.
At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on hybrid contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average.
This position involves travel throughout the UK and occasional weekend working for event delivery (approximately 5 weekends per year). Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) will be provided for weekend work.

Your responsibilities will include:
Working with the transformation team to build customer journeys in our new MarTech platform, Adobe, supporting building a bank of digital collateral, migrating existing communications into the new platform and ensuring all marketing activities conform to BHF brand.
Collaborating with internal teams to make the most efficient use of current customer data and how to use it to personalise within communications journeys. Whilst supporting on building audience segments and business rules for customer engagement.
Reporting on performance of communications and translating this information for wider stakeholders, utilising tools to understand conversions and customer behaviours to inform a marketing automation strategy to be shared with digital and other fundraising colleagues.
About you
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Strong understanding of omnichannel principles, alongside data segmentation and personalisation in digital communications
- Experience of integrated marketing automation platforms such as Adobe (desirable), dotdigital, Salesforce or Hubspot
- Proven ability to develop impactful creative and copy and experience designing, developing and delivering automated personalised customer journeys
- Experience of working with large data sets and utilising to improve customers lifetime value
- Skills in analytics and data visualisation tools
- Experience of project management and effectively using tools to support this such as Jira

As a Service Desk Analyst at British Heart Foundation (BHF), you’ll be a vital member of a highly talented, customer focused and enthusiastic helpdesk team who act as the first point-of-contact for end users.
With previous service desk experience you'll take pride in resolving almost all issues as they arise. Quick to learn, enthusiastic and self-motivated, you’ll ensure that the knowledge base is always updated so other team members can learn from your successes and overall performance is maintained and improved.
With a high percentage of customers being in the Retail directorate, you’ll be required to participate in a weekend cover rota, allowing service to our shops and stores to be delivered. Working hours needed to deliver these services are 35 hours/week – staggered in accordance with the support rota.

This is a fixed term contract covering an internal secondment.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.
At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, approximately three days a week. Working hours needed to deliver these services are 35 hours per week covering a rota schedule (the team cover 8am to 6pm every day).
The role will also participate in a weekend cover rota allowing service to our shops and stores to be delivered. This will be in the region of 1 weekend in 4-6.

About you
You'll have previous service desk experience, having working in the SD environment previously, and will have excellent customer service and communication skills, being used to working in a busy service desk team. You'll also have excellent telephone and customer handling skills to back up your technical and fault diagnosis experience.
You’ll have strong troubleshooting skills, keeping the Customer informed of progress against their respective issues, ensuring an effective follow-up to ensure all service has been delivered and completed to the Customer's satisfaction.
Good knowledge of Windows OS (Win 10 and above), you’ll also have knowledge of LAN/WAN networking essentials and extensive experience of MS Office suite of Applications (2010 and above). You’ll have previous experience with administration of Users within Active Directory and Remote Support Tools (i.e. VNC, RDP etc.).
With good knowledge of ticket and case management techniques, managing own queues and workload to meet Service Level Agreements, you’ll be able to remain calm and focused, and will have strong organisational skills, able to use prioritisation and escalation techniques, and able to develop strong working relationships with the team and contacts across the organisation.

We are looking for a Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist to join our People and Organisational Development team. Your role will involve delivering a variety of learning interventions, taking ownership of projects from scoping to evaluation, and ensuring that all training interventions align with the BHF priorities and yield measurable return on investment. This is a key role in leading and embedding coaching and mentoring in the BHF to grow our coaching culture.
As part of our L&D team, you will champion learning and help promote and embed a culture of learning and growth across all areas within the British Heart Foundation (BHF). Working with the L&D Team you will work on identifying training needs that enable our colleagues to deliver to the best of their ability.
The role will facilitate engaging and memorable behaviour-led and process training interventions that enhance organisational performance and align to the BHF strategic vision.
About you
You’ll have a strong knowledge of scoping, designing, and delivering training (and support resources) for both face-to-face and online sessions, ensuring that the learning experience is engaging and memorable.
With excellent communication and influencing skills, you’ll have the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and will be confident presenting to audiences of all levels.
You will be self-motivated with good project management and organisational skills. You'll demonstrate a learner-led mindset and be able to adapt your style and approach to deliver effective learning of a wide variety of learners.

As our Marketing Manager - Mass Fundraising Acquisition (Legacy), you’ll be responsible for leading an in-house team of marketers responsible for driving mass, new customer acquisition across a portfolio of fundraising products/activities. This includes our integrated mass marketing campaigns, Legacy lead generation acquisition and specific Legacy conversion activity, via promoting our Free Will Service.
Working with our media agency and third-party agency suppliers, you'll be responsible for the development, execution, and optimisation of multi-million pound, omni-channel marketing, and fundraising campaigns and marcomms within the overall British Heart Foundation (BHF) integrated media plan. You'll have oversight across a portfolio of fundraising activity, ensuring strategic and tactical delivery and optimisation, to deliver transformative customer experiences and drive growth in support and income through mass customer acquisition.
In this role, you'll put the customer at the heart, ensuring they feel central to our work and achievements and motivated to continue funding our research in the long-term.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you'll bring extensive and demonstrable marketing experience of designing, developing, and managing integrated, multi-channel marketing plans and delivering successful commercial outcomes through these i.e., across new customer acquisition and fundraising/income growth.
Preferably with knowledge of Legacy Marketing, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of success in a fast-moving, effective marketing team, experience in paid media planning, and optimisation within, and across a full range of ATL channels.
Highly numerate, with excellent planning and project management skills, you'll have evidenced experience of marketing including a full understanding of different marketing approaches and an ability to use marketing to secure support across a broad range of channels.
To be successful in the role you will also have:
- Strong analytical skills, able to manipulate and analyse data across a variety of media to optimise integration performance and engagement
- Experience of managing significant expenditure budgets, interpreting financial information and providing reporting and analysis, as well as risk identification and risk mitigation against financial and non-financial objectives
- Previous leadership and line management experience
- Experience of agency partnership management
- Knowledge and experience of fundraising or relationship databases is highly desirable
Working arrangements
This is a fixed term contract until Dec 2025 covering a secondment.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London Office, approximately 1-2 days per week
