About us
Who we are
10GM supports the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector in Greater Manchester.
- We support communities to take action and make a difference locally.
- We strengthen local infrastructure to help organisations work together and provide the support they need to thrive.
- We speak up for local groups and communities to local and regional decision-makers.
We're a partnership of Local Infrastructure Organisations (Action Together, Bolton CVS, Macc, and Salford CVS). 10GM is supported by a central team and has close working relationships with Local VCSE Infrastructure Organisations (LIOs) in all the boroughs of Greater Manchester. We run a wide range of projects locally through these organisations and connect them at a GM level. We also work with partners like GM Integrated Care Partnership, GM Combined Authority, the Mayor’s office, and GM Moving to reach the diverse communities of Greater Manchester.
What all of us have in common is our passion for working with communities to bring about real change, facilitating work with leaders at all levels through real, diverse collaboration. We learn from failures, encourage brave leadership, and experiment intelligently. Above all, we believe in communities, aim to reduce inequality, and we are optimistic that we can make life better for everyone in Greater Manchester.
Our culture and values
The core staff team of 10GM is small and mighty, but we’re lucky to be part of a partnership that includes over 200 talented colleagues, representing every corner of Greater Manchester. Our partnership is a diverse team committed to social justice.
We are supportive: We encourage and help each other, learn from our mistakes, and promote brave, thoughtful leadership and smart experimentation. We empower individuals and communities to take action and make a positive difference locally.
We are collaborative: We build lasting relationships to facilitate positive change in society. We work in solidarity, supporting each other, sharing knowledge, and learning together.
We are influential: We harness people’s skills and build their confidence to shape and inform policy and practice. We are brave enough to share constructive insight to make progress.
We are innovative: We're working in a new way to create a robust and sustainable VCSE sector that meets the diverse needs and aspirations of the people of Greater Manchester. We proactively seek opportunities to learn, develop new ideas, and adapt to change.
We are community-driven: We believe in our diverse communities, a commitment to ending inequity, and a relentless optimism that we can make life in Greater Manchester better for all.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We’re passionate about ensuring that everyone has a fair chance and that they are treated equally. We’re fully committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion in our sector. We want this to be reflected in the diversity of the people who work for us, and we welcome applications from people from varied backgrounds, abilities and perspectives. We provide a rich work environment and support staff to expand their knowledge, learn new skills and grow in their roles.
