2econd Chance

Who we are

2econd Chance is a charity which supports individuals who have been long-term excluded from the workplace. Using computers as an entrance point, our training provides opportunities to build experience, knowledge and soft skills as a pathway into employment. To best support our client group we have developed two pathways, an informal 12 week work experience programme and an accredited qualification. Individuals with an interest in IT/computers are referred to our programme through education providers (schools and colleges), employment support groups or community and voluntary sector organisations. 

We have developed an innovative circular model which sees companies donate their unwanted devices (laptops, mobile phones, tablets and desktops) to fulfil their Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability agendas. Every device donated to 2econd Chance is used to train individuals furthest away from the job market how to refurbish devices.  Refurbished devices are used to bridge the digital divide either being sold at affordable prices with 1 in 4 being donated back into the community through our network of partners.
