About us
Who we are
ACACIA UK (company number 03320057) is the trading subsidiary of Rafiki Thabo Foundation. ACACIA share our passion for ensuring the most vulnerable children in Kenya and Uganda – particularly those with developmental disabilities – gain access to education and all profits from the ACACIA shops are donated to Rafiki Thabo Foundation to do just that!
We have five wonderful ACACIA charity shops in South Oxfordshire – in Abingdon, Botley, Faringdon, Grove, and Wootton. We also have an eBay shop.
Our culture and values
People volunteer in our shops for all kinds of reasons: because they support our mission to help some of the world’s most disadvantaged children; to gain workplace skills and experience; to meet people and enjoy team work; to stay active; to contribute specialist knowledge such as antiques and collectibles; and to have fun. Some ACACIA volunteers work for just a few hours a week, others come in every day.
