About us
Who we are
Working with and for older people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
We provide a wide range of services and support, and we welcome volunteers and fundraisers to support our work.
Our culture and values
Our vision is one of a world where older people are included and respected as valued members of society.
Our mission is to enable older people to enjoy later life, by reaching them earlier to access support, providing services specific to their health and wellbeing needs and being their voice on matters of importance.
Our values, which underlie the way we operate, are to be Compassionate, Collaborative and Committed. These values guide our defined expected behaviours to ensure that everybody works in unison, believing in our cause and all the individuals and elements associated with it. When improvements are required, we will act accordingly, and with a supportive approach, to address the appropriate organisational, training and development needs.
Our organisation has achieved the Age UK Network Charity Quality Standard (CQS). The CQS is externally assessed by quality assessment experts, BSI.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Age UK Cambridgeshire & Peterborough (AUKCAP) is committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) among our workforce, and eliminating unlawful discrimination. Our aim is for our staff and volunteers to be representative of all sections of society, and for all staff to feel respected and able to give their best.
AUKCAP is also committed to eliminating unlawful discrimination of older people.
