About us
Who we are
Amos Trust is a creative human rights organisation that seeks to challenge injustice, build hope and create change by working with vibrant grass roots projects that are developing innovative local responses to global issues.
Amos Trust was established in 1985.Our three areas of current operation are:
-
Palestine Justice– celebrating Palestinian culture, working with local grassroots partners on the West Bank and Gaza and campaigning for Palestinian rights, the implementation of international law and a just long-term resolution
-
Climate Justice - climate change is a justice issue. Those who have the least political and economic power, and the least responsibility for the changing climate, are affected the most. We support young female climate activists and land defenders in Mexico and Central America to establish their own local responses to the climate emergency.
-
Gender Justice - we work with girls and young women who have experienced some of the worst that our world has to offer. Girls and young women who are too often unseen, unheard, and treated as if they do not matter. We work with inspirational local partners in South and East Africa and have a flagship project in South India. These partners are committed to reaching and building trust with these young women, journeying with them and to creating safe spaces for them.
In each of these areas of work we seek to celebrate creativity and culture, deliver projects on the ground with local partners and activists, and campaign for equal rights - platforming those voices most often ignored.
We seek to remain nimble and responsive, to be willing to take risks, and to collaborate with others to establish and incubate new projects
