About us
Who we are
Based at St. Andrew’s Stadium, Birmingham City FC Foundation is an independent Charity (Number 1086631) that has been working in the Birmingham and Solihull community since September 2000.
The Foundation is financially independent from the football club and is governed by a Board of Trustees but we use the brand of BCFC to encourage participation, build community cohesion and help local people to achieve and be successful. We recognise that sport can play a key role in addressing local and national issues including obesity, mental health and wellbeing, employment and educational attainment and antisocial behaviour/ crime reduction.
Originally set up to deliver football activities, the Foundation has grown significantly over the years and we are proud to now offer a range of programmes and activities that reflect the needs of our local communities.
We are committed to breaking down barriers to participation, providing opportunities for everyone in our local communities to be more active, choose healthier lifestyles and creating stronger, safer and healthier communities by delivering high quality sporting activities across 4 main themes; Sports Participation; Education, Training and Employability; Health and Wellbeing and Social Inclusion.
We work closely with and on behalf of other organisations and our partners are key to our success and in supporting us to achieve our strategic objectives.
Along with our partners and funders our experienced, professional and diverse workforce will support our mission to have a positive impact in our community by delivering programmes which care for, inspire, educate and make a difference.
Your Club, Our Community.

Our commitment to EDI and creating an environment which is free from fear and prejudice includes:

- Educating our staff, participants and local people and raising awareness in all areas of EDI to break down barriers to participation.
- Ensure that EDI is imbedded into everything we do.
- Recognise that everyone has a contribution to make to our society and that people with different skills, backgrounds and experiences can bring a wealth of new perceptions and ideas to our organisation.
- Create an open and honest environment where issues and concerns around EDI can be discussed in a non-judgemental way and where we can learn and understand from different perspectives.
- Encourage a culture of challenging practices and behaviour which go against our principles and always act as role models to colleagues, participants and any other person that we may have contact with.
