About us
Who we are
Burning Nights CRPS Support is a UK charity working to improve life for all those affected by a poorly understood chronic condition, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). As a charity we raise awareness about CRPS amongst the public, health & legal professionals by providing awareness sessions, so diagnoses can be made quicker & treatment started more rapidly. We also offer support & information by way of an evidence based website, counselling service, befriending scheme, live chat support, support helpline, online forum, email & social media support, annual conference & online support groups.
Our culture and values
We aim to raise awareness of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and provide education so that more people across healthcare and in the public understand the condition and its debilitating effects. From education, training and campaigning to advice and support, as the UK's independent CRPS charity we are on a mission to change the way that CRPS is looked at, managed and treated.
Our Values
We're Stronger Together
- We are a community. We work together to help people support themselves and we learn from everyone we work with.
We're Empowering
- We empower one another not only so we can do our own roles, but we empower our patients/clients and supporters so they can continue on the fight for change.
We're Respectful
- Everyone has their own story and journey they are going through. We are respectful to our supporters, patients/clients, stakeholders and each other.
We're Compassionate
- We’re there for everyone living with CRPS and their family and loved ones. When people turn to us for information and support, we listen and we care. You're not alone.
We're Empathetic
- As we are mainly a patient and caregiver led organisation, our volunteers understand what you are going through.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We are committed to providing equal opportunities in employment and volunteering and to avoiding unlawful discrimination. This policy is intended to assist putting this commitment into practice.
Our aim is that the charity/work environment is free of harassment and bullying and that everyone is treated with dignity and respect, which is an important aspect of ensuring equal opportunities in employment and volunteering.
Burning Nights CRPS Support values diversity. By respecting and using diversity it can maximise its impact through meeting individual needs and staying in touch with the changing societies in which it works.
Staff and volunteers recognise and fulfil their personal role in making Burning Nights CRPS Support a genuinely inviting and inclusive organisation.
