About us
Who we are
The Campaign for Science and Engineering (CaSE) is the UK’s leading independent advocate for science and engineering. We campaign for the funding, skills and policies that allow science and engineering to improve people’s lives and livelihoods, support by members across academia, industry, learned and professional bodies, and research charities.
Our culture and values
We are evidence led. We use our expertise and analysis to make a compelling case for R&D to be a national priority, and demonstrate the social, economic and cultural importance of R&D.
We are independent. We are a non-partisan and agile organisation. We use our trusted voice and extensive connections with policymakers across the political spectrum to deliver a positive difference for the R&D sector and society.
We are collaborative. We use our convening power to connect our members, partners and the public, and use these diverse perspectives to maximise our impact.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
An inclusive approach to science and engineering is the only way to place it at the heart of the UK’s future. At CaSE, we want science and engineering to serve the needs and aspirations of both the public and those working within the R&D community. We believe that breaking down barriers to participation can deliver better outcomes for everyone, and help us achieve our goal of a thriving science and engineering community in the UK.
CaSE is committed to identifying and championing effective ideas that foster a research sector where anyone can succeed, and where the benefits of science and engineering can be felt by the diverse communities of the UK. By working collaboratively across the research and innovation system, we use our platform to drive attention towards under-represented and under-valued issues.
