Who we are

We are a south London-based befriending charity with a difference, pairing up dog owners with older people to connect over regular walks, increasing both general wellbeing and physical activity.  We partner with community organisations to host group walks in public green spaces. 

Our culture and values

Being around dogs has many benefits, from increasing emotional wellbeing to lowering the risks of health problems, which is why we want to bring canine companionship to all older people in our local communities! 

Our mission at CareDogs is threefold:

1. Tackle loneliness and social isolation one dog walk at a time via our befriending service

2. Provide local volunteering opportunities for people and their dogs 

3. Host community dog-walking events in partnership with neighbouring charities and organisations to get more people out walking and talking
