About us
Who we are
Cede Foundation is a registered charity in England, Wales, and Scotland, working to tackle poverty at its root. We strive to overcome poverty by empowering individuals and nurturing sustainable communities through programmes across health and wellbeing, education, employability and skills, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, youth engagement, and arts and culture. We deliver personalised, community-led services that support people facing multiple disadvantages to gain confidence, build skills, and create pathways to lasting opportunities.
Our culture and values
Our work is guided by the belief that every person deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity to fulfil their potential. We place people and communities at the centre of everything we do, creating safe and supportive spaces where staff, volunteers, and participants feel valued. Our culture is built on empowerment, collaboration, and integrity. We encourage individuals to recognise their strengths, overcome barriers, and take steps toward a better future. By working in partnership with communities and approaching our work with fairness and compassion, we aim to create meaningful change that endures.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We are committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion across all areas of our work, ensuring our services remain fair and accessible to everyone. Our programmes are designed to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve, adapting to a wide range of cultural, social, and educational needs. Within the organisation, we foster an inclusive environment where staff and volunteers are supported, valued, and given equal opportunities to develop. Safeguarding, fairness, and respect are firmly embedded in our policies and practice, creating a safe and supportive space for everyone who engages with our work.
