Who we are
Chance for Childhood is an award-winning charity working in Africa to support children in vulnerable situations.
Our vision is of a world where every childhood is filled with safety, belonging and play. Our mission is to fight for every child to live independent lives by taking urgent action in education, health and economic resilience.
We are looking for new team members to help us achieve our strategic aim of reaching 200,000 people by 2030.

Chance for Childhood is a flexible employer. In the UK, our small team works mostly from home with some visits to our London office - conveniently situated on Old Street - as necessary, depending on the role.
We are ambitious and we work hard to realise our projects for children. We are also human and we support our colleagues when families and wellbeing need to come first.
We are committed to tackling harmful practices by global minority INGOs on the communities of our work. Our commitment is evident from our transitioning of our leadership from the UK to Africa (our CEO is from Kenya and lives in Rwanda; more than 50% of our Senior Management Team are African and living in Africa, and more than half of our Board are African).
In 2022 we launched #OverExposed, a campaign that aims to challenge the sector to prioritise ethical use of imagery in fundraising and marketing materials. We took the bold decision to remove all images of children's faces from our campaigns. We did this not because it was easy - it wasn't - we did it because it was the right thing to do.
We're not perfect. We make mistakes and we're always looking for ways to be better at what we do, and we will always put children first.
