About us

Who we are

Childlife was started in 1992 as a way for four charities working with childrenand young people throughout the UK, to work together and fundraise collectively. Our partner charities supporting children are Ataxia UK, Acorns Children’s Hospice, National Deaf Children’s Society and the National Children’s Bureau. Together they reach many thousands of children and young people every year, providing a range of direct services, information and advice to promote the interests and wellbeing of all children and young people. In their different ways, the four charities are all providing support and information to improve the lives of children and young people every day. Childlife is based in an office next to the Farnborough Leisure Centre and is run by four part-time members of staff. Free parking whilst volunteering at Childlife is available via signing in the visitors book.
