About us
Who we are
Coventry Scouts is a volunteer-led organisation supporting young people across Coventry through Scouting. We provide safe, inclusive and engaging activities that help young people develop skills, confidence, independence and teamwork. Our volunteers deliver a wide range of activities, camps, events and programmes for young people, while also providing support, training and resources to our volunteer leaders and local Scout groups.
Our culture and values
Coventry Scouts believes in providing young people with a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can learn, develop and have fun. We value teamwork, respect, equality, personal development and giving young people opportunities to try new things and build confidence.
We are volunteer-led and work collaboratively with our volunteers, young people, families and local communities. We follow safeguarding and safety procedures, promote responsible behaviour and ensure our activities are accessible and welcoming to all.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Coventry Scouts is committed to treating all volunteers and staff fairly, with dignity and respect. We oppose discrimination in all forms and aim to provide an inclusive environment where everyone has equal opportunities to contribute, develop and progress.
Our recruitment, volunteering and working practices are based on skills, suitability and individual circumstances rather than characteristics such as age, disability, sex, race, religion, sexual orientation or background. We encourage an open and respectful culture where concerns can be raised and addressed appropriately.
