About us
Who we are
Compass is a national charity with over thirty years’ experience supporting children, young people and families to live healthier and safer lives. We work in communities across the UK delivering school nursing and health services, early help for vulnerable young people, substance misuse and sexual health support, and a wide range of prevention and wellbeing programmes.
We were among the early trailblazers for Mental Health Support Teams in schools and continue to lead services that bring timely emotional and mental health support directly to education settings.
Safeguarding is central to everything we do. As a values led and inclusive organisation, we are committed to ensuring every child and young person has the support they need to thrive.
Our culture and values
Our Values are our DNA. They are ingrained in the work our amazing teams carry out.
With integrity
Treating others with decency, fairness and being honest in all that we do.
Valuing each other
Respecting the needs, skills, diversity and views of each person, irrespective of status.
Being solution focused
Responding flexibly and adapting quickly to current and emerging needs.
Consistent and reliable
Always delivering on our commitments.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
At Compass, we believe that every person has value and we are committed to building a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we support. We welcome applications from people of all genders, races, faiths, ages, sexual orientations and disabilities.
We also recognise the insight and empathy that come from lived experience, whether through caring responsibilities, community involvement or personal challenges. These experiences strengthen our work and help us provide more compassionate and effective support.
We are working every day to be a fair, inclusive and transparent employer of choice. This means creating an environment where colleagues feel respected, listened to and able to contribute fully. By championing diversity in all its forms and fostering a genuine sense of belonging, we aim to ensure our teams are representative and connected to the children, young people and families we serve across the UK.
We invite you to bring your full self to Compass and be part of a team that is committed to care, respect and positive change.
