Who we are

We are an international humanitarian organisation that strives for a world free from poverty, fear and oppression.

Extreme geographies. Extreme climate challenges. Extreme crises. Nothing will stop Concern fighting extreme poverty. Our teams on the ground are working together with people living in the most difficult situations, to bring about lasting change to lives, livelihoods and communities.

We provide life-saving and life-changing support to communities around the world who are most vulnerable to crises. From rapid emergency response to our innovative programming in health and nutrition, livelihoods and education, we go to the hardest to reach places to make sure that no-one is left behind.

Our values are rooted in the compassion and commitment of our founders and have been shaped by over 50 years of working with the world’s poorest and most vulnerable communities.

Our focus on ending extreme poverty is driven by our belief that all people are equal in rights and should be treated with respect and dignity regardless of their circumstances.

We know that listening and partnership are key to empowering communities to transform their own lives.

We are ready to respond to ensure that people's basic needs are met when disaster strikes. We do so effectively and in strict adherence to humanitarian principles.
