About us
Who we are
Dogs 4 Rescue is the UK's pioneering kennel-free rescue powered by compaionship, freedom and love. We rescue UK pound dogs facing euthanasia, dogs not coping in a kennels environment and dogs in desperate need from around the world. Our rehoming centre in Manchester opened in 2103 and has successfully rehomed over 2,700 dogs all with lifetime rescue back-up. In 2023 we also opened Rescue World, a 41 acre sanctuary and rehabilititation retreat set in the hills of Lancashire.
We specialise in pack rehabilitation, a happy coincidence of our dogs who cannot be rehomed. The frightened ones, the shut down ones, the oldies and the disabled dogs all come to live with us and learn to be happy dogs again. Dogs 4 Rescue is the life mission of our founder Emma Billington,- we have a dedicated team, and wider rescue family of engaged supporters. Together we are forwarding 'The Rescue Revolution'.

Our culture and values
- We believe kennel-free communal living is hugely beneficial to a dog’s wellbeing, socialisation and rehabilitation needs
- We let our dogs be dogs, and help shut down dogs re-engage with natural behaviours
- We champion the bull breeds and save as many as we can
- We believe and teach rescue dogs and street dogs can often be the best fit for expanding a fur family
- We do not hide our non-rehomeable dogs away, we champion our 'perfectly imperfect' dogs
- Our team's opinions on a dog's wellbeing matter - thats why we have a 360 'Happiness Scale'
- We believe every dog has the potential to change
- We offer a full one month home trial, because finding the right fit is everything
- We dare to do things differently
