Who we are
The Don Hanson Charitable Foundation was established in 2007 by Don Hanson, who passed away ten years ago. The Foundation's wide-ranging activities are covered on our website see http://www.donhansoncharitablefoundation.org
Our flagship projects currently include the distribution of multimedia Hanson Boxes to primary schools see http://www.hansonboxes.org and the DARWIN200 voyage see http://www.darwin200.com both under the auspices of our Schools Program.
Other important activities include social initiatives and healthcare both directly and through partner organisations. Since our foundation in 2007 we have helped more than 100 charities and causes with over £1m.
Our culture and values
The charity was established by Don Hanson in 2007 to support causes close to his heart and around geographical areas that had been a part of his life.The Trustees of the Foundation follow the charitable generous example set by Don in his lifetime, applying business-world ideas to giving, as well as acting as a multiplier for good causes where there is need.
