About us
Who we are
Dudley Canal & Tunnel Trust is a celebrated charity dedicated to the preservation and celebration of the Dudley Tunnel - a pertinent monument of Dudley’s unique waterways and subterranean heritage.
Established in the 1960s, the Trust operates the fascinating Dudley Canal & Caverns, offering immersive boat trips through a network of historic limestone mines, tunnels, and caverns that date back over 428 million years.
As custodians of this remarkable piece of the Black Country’s industrial past, the Trust provides educational tours, hosts a variety of themed events, and maintains a visitor center complete with exhibitions, a gift shop, and the delightful Gongoozler Café.
