About us
Who we are
ELHAP is an independent charity and is one of only eight specialist adventure playgrounds in the UK. We are dedicated to providing adventure play to children young people and adults who need it the most.
1. Children and Young People
Each year, we provide adventure play services to children and young people with disabilities and additional needs including:
- Holiday Playschemes and Saturday Clubs
- Stay and Play sessions
- Family Fun Days
- Nature Play Project
- Visiting School Groups sessions
2. Young People and Adults
We also work with older young people and adults with disabilities, helping people develop skills, connect with the local community and engage in the natural world. These projects include:
- Orchard Project: Based in our truly magical ancient Orchard setting the Orchard Project focuses on nature, space, adventure, creativity and freedom.
- Project Bloom: Project Bloom is a work skills and volunteering project with a difference.
3. Other Projects
Bridge Project: The ELHAP Bridge Project offers short-term or medium-term placements to school aged children and young people, who are at risk of exclusion or who have been excluded from education.
