Who we are

At English Speaking Board (International) Ltd., our mission is to build confident speakers and listeners through the power of communication. We are dedicated to enhancing lives through English Language proficiency and excellent Oracy skills, enabling learners of all ages to achieve their aspirations.

We do this through our Oracy, ESOL Skills for Life and ESOL International qualifications, the majority of which are regulated by Ofqual, learner-focused assessment methodology and our fierce commitment to inclusion and accessibility.

We are an award-winning, external awarding organisation, and enjoy excellent relationships with government-funded, independent, charitable and private education providers in the UK and internationally.

Our purpose: 

English Speaking Board wants all learners to possess the oracy and English language skills they need to achieve their aspirations. We want to stretch the most able and support the least confident and realise the potential of all by closing the disadvantage gap. 

To do this we:

Listen to our clients, understand their motivations and needs, employ talented people who want to achieve for our clients, support and validate the impact of our teachers and  financially support assessment at centres that are part of closing the disadvantage gap.
