Who we are
Essex Youthbuild is a Chelmsford-based charity working with 14-19 year olds, helping them gain construction qualifications and employability skills to enhance their future prospects. Working in our fully equipped workshop, young people can gain qualifications in bricklaying, carpentry, wall and floor tiling, plumbing, plastering and painting as well as bitesize qualifications in maths and English.
The young people work with qualified and experienced tradespeople and can gain industry recognised qualifications leading them to a place at college, an apprenticeship or, if old enough, paid employment and a career in construction.
