About us
Who we are
Evergreen Care UK is a community-based charity supporting older people across Bexley and Dartford. Our work focuses on reducing loneliness, supporting independence and helping people to remain living well within their own homes and communities.
We provide a range of services including practical home support, volunteer-led befriending and community activities such as our Elderberries Vintage Cafés. These services offer both practical help and meaningful social connection, enabling individuals to feel supported, valued and less isolated.
We work closely with local partners including councils, GP practices, churches and voluntary sector organisations, and play an active role in the wider support network for older people in our community.
Our culture and values
Evergreen is a values-led organisation where people are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing compassionate, dignified support and creating a welcoming environment for everyone we work with.
Our culture is built on:
- Compassion – we care deeply about the people we support and each other
- Respect and dignity – we treat everyone with kindness, fairness and understanding
- Community – we believe in the power of connection and bringing people together
- Collaboration – we work closely as a team and with partners to achieve the best outcomes
- Flexibility and innovation – we are open to new ideas and continuously look for ways to improve
We are a small but growing organisation, which means team members have the opportunity to contribute across different areas, develop new skills and play an active role in shaping the future of Evergreen.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Evergreen Care UK is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion across all aspects of our work.
We aim to create an environment where everyone feels valued, respected and able to contribute, regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation or background.
We actively oppose discrimination and strive to ensure our services are accessible and inclusive to the diverse communities we support. We are also committed to fair and inclusive recruitment practices and to supporting a workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
We recognise that everyone’s experiences are different, and we aim to respond with sensitivity, understanding and respect in all that we do.
