About us
Who we are
Focus Birmingham is a local charity dedicated to making lives better by creating opportunities for people with care and support needs. We support people to live life to the full, achieve greater independence, and unlock their potential.
Every day, our colleagues make a meaningful difference to the lives of people with visual impairment, complex needs, and other disabilities across Birmingham.
Supported Living
Our Supported Living service, delivered in partnership with Bromford Housing at Millward Place in Kings Norton, provides 24-hour care and support for adults with visual impairment and additional disabilities.
The service consists of 14 purpose-built, self-contained apartments designed to promote independence, safety and long-term wellbeing. The development incorporates a range of specialist adaptations, including colour-contrasted features and handrails throughout, to support people with sight loss to navigate their environment confidently and safely.
Complex Needs Support
Our Complex Needs Day Service supports adults aged 19 and over, with no upper age limit. We provide person-centred programmes of activities tailored to individual interests, goals and abilities.
We specialise in supporting people with visual impairment and complex needs, helping them to develop skills, build confidence, maintain independence and enjoy meaningful opportunities within their communities.
