About us
Who we are
A charity run by parents & carers of disabled children & young people, we aim to empower families across East Kent. We run parent workshops, training sessions, education and support groups, play events, family days out, direct information sharing and help with forms and applications. We will help you find the answers.
Our mission
Improving the lives of disabled children, young people and their families across East Kent and elsewhere, using our specialist knowledge and experience as parents, carers and service users
Our culture and values
For Us Too staff, trustees and volunteers adhere to the seven principles of public life called the “Nolan principles”: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.
For Us Too also works creatively and with excellence to:
Ø empower parents of disabled children and young people so that they can make informed choices about what is best for their families;
Ø increase disability awareness so that there is acceptance and inclusion of disabled children and young people in all walks of life;
Ø enable disabled children and young people to have access to the same opportunities as all other children so that they can maximise their potential.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
For us Too challenges discrimination and lack of opportunity in its own policies and practices and will help other organisations and individuals to do the same.
We aim to create a culture that respects and values each other’s differences. For us Too sees these differences as an asset to our work as they improve our ability to meet the needs of the families, partners and organisations that we serve.
All volunteers, employees and trustees of For us Too will declare their support for the objectives of Equality and Diversity.
