About us
Who we are
We are a charity that has been running since 1987, providing residential care and other services.
Over the years, our services have changed to meet the needs of the local community, the individuals we support and the local council and government. We provide residential care / support in our homes in North Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset.
We also run other types of services, including community day services, building-based day services, hydrotherapy and warm water sessions in our own hydrotherapy pool, support to become self-employed or look for employment, and support living.
Our culture and values
- Putting People First: we support people with a learning disability, and they are at the centre of all our work
- Having Great Staff: We make sure we recruit the right people with the right values to support our service users and train them to reach their potential
- Being Active in the community: using community facilities, but also giving back to the community in which we live and work
- Making Every Penny Count: we are a charity and as such we need to make sure we make the best decisions with the money we have to ensure it benefits our service users now and into the future
- Planning for the future: ensuring our services are fit for the future
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Freeways welcomes a diverse population of both staff and service users and commits to:
- promote equal rights, equal access and equal treatment for all.

- ensure that services provided are available to all service users regardless of their learning or physical disability.
- promote and ensure that all premises are as accessible as is reasonably practical.
