Who we are

Our Story

Founded in 1996, Furniture Recycling Project has been providing high-quality furniture for over 25 years. Our mission is to provide stylish and functional furniture at affordable prices through our shops in Gloucester at Eastern Avenue Retail Park. Our latest super store opened in Newport Gwent in early April 2026.

We specialize in a wide variety of furniture including sofas, beds, dining sets, and office furniture aswell as refurbished and upcycled items.

At Furniture Recycling Project, we pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service. We offer delivery to any NP and most CF Postcodes at very reasonable rates.

Charitable Aim - To Create a Better Community:

• Through the prevention or the relief of poverty and financial hardship by the re-use, recycling and supplying of items of furniture, electrical appliances and other household items to persons in need
• By engaging with charities,statutory bodies or other organisations, which can support and complement our objectives, in order to prevent or relieve poverty.
• By offering volunteering and learning opportunities to individuals for the development of their work and social skills in environmentally beneficial activities.
• By encouraging individuals and organisations to support the protection and preservation of the environment for the public benefit through the promotion of waste reduction, re-use, reclamation, recycling, and use of recycled products
• By developing associated services that support the relief of poverty and financial hardship in such ways as the trustees think fit

Volunteers are at the heart of what FRP does and we value those who offer us their time and talent.  

Our volunteers come from all walks of life and have a variety of skills and life experiences.  Some are keen to build skills after a period away from the workplace, others may be newly arrived migrants who want to improve their English and some are retired and keen to expand their network of friends.
