About us
Who we are
GLEN are an independent network charity (ICO) representing individuals with Lived Experience of having suffered harms deriving from gambling.
Our primary aim to is promote and support the voices and knowledge of those who have experienced gambling harms in ways which bring better understanding to the policies, processes and legislation which governs gambling and the support of those experiencing harm due to gambling here in the UK.
We create platforms to allow Lived Experience to be heard, promote awareness raising around the impacts of harmful gambling, and offer support to those who wish to make their own Lived Experience more widely heard and listened to.
Our overarching aim is to involve experiential learning and understanding in ways which help prevent others from being exposed to current and future harm due to gambling.
Due to the long-lasting and transformative changes currently happening in the Gambling Harms sector we will be focusing most of our increased resources this year (2026) on ensuring that Lived Experience is visibly present and involved in the decision and commissioning processes which are shaping the existing and future support and prevention framework at national and regional levels. We are also rolling out an innovative multi-layered Lived Experience Participation Model which will allow far greater involvement opportunities for everyone motivated or impacted by harms associated with gambling.

We support and promote the value of Lived and Living Experience.
