Who we are

Gilgal Birmingham: a refuge supporting women and children escaping domestic abuse.

Gilgal is a safe space that is more than just a shelter; it’s a sanctuary where individuals are seen, heard and supported.

We are a close-knit community, helping women regain their confidence and self-worth.

Our mission is to equip our residents with the tools they need to rebuild their lives and take control of their futures. Together, we create a nurturing environment where women help women to heal and flourish.

Our culture and values

At Gilgal, our culture is one of family; a close-knit team, ready and waiting to welcome in women and children who need our support. Whilst our values stem from the Christian faith, they are embodied by many religions, communities and individual around the world. These values underpin everything we do at Gilgal.
