About us

Who we are

Goods For Good is a Watford-based charity founded in 2014 that supports vulnerable communities in the UK and overseas by redistributing high-quality surplus essentials donated by businesses.

We work with hundreds of corporate partners to rescue new and unused items including clothing, footwear, bedding, toiletries and other daily essentials that would otherwise go to waste. These goods are then distributed through a trusted network of charity and community partners supporting people facing hardship, including families living in poverty, individuals experiencing homelessness, children in the care system, refugees and communities affected by crisis and displacement.

Our model sits at the intersection of humanitarian aid and environmental responsibility. By redirecting surplus goods at scale, we reduce waste, lower environmental impact and ensure practical support reaches people who need it most, with dignity and care.

Alongside our UK work, we support humanitarian responses internationally, providing essential items to communities affected by conflict, poverty and extreme hardship. Our logistics-led approach allows us to respond quickly and efficiently, ensuring donations are transformed into real, tangible support on the ground.

Everything we do is rooted in collaboration. Our impact is made possible through the combined generosity of businesses donating goods, supporters providing financial contributions to enable distribution, and volunteers giving their time to help us deliver at scale.

Our culture and values

At Goods For Good, our culture is rooted in purpose, collaboration and practical action. We are a mission-driven organisation focused on delivering real impact for people facing hardship, while reducing waste and promoting more sustainable ways of working.

We believe dignity matters. The support we provide is not just about meeting basic needs, but about ensuring people feel seen, respected and valued. This belief shapes how we work with partners, the communities we support, and each other.

Collaboration sits at the heart of everything we do. Our work is only possible through strong relationships between our staff team, volunteers, trustees, corporate partners and charity partners. We value openness, trust and shared responsibility, and we work best when we learn from one another.

We are practical, resourceful and solutions-focused. Operating at the intersection of logistics, sustainability and humanitarian support means we are used to navigating complexity and making thoughtful decisions with limited resources.

As an organisation, we are committed to inclusion, fairness and equity. We strive to create a supportive working environment where people feel empowered, heard and able to do their best work, and where flexible working and wellbeing are taken seriously.

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

Goods For Good is committed to creating a fair, inclusive and respectful working environment where everyone is treated with dignity and has equal opportunity to contribute and succeed.

We oppose discrimination in all its forms and are committed to equality regardless of age, disability, gender identity or expression, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, marital status or pregnancy and maternity. We aim to ensure our recruitment, employment and progression practices are fair, transparent and based on merit.

We actively seek to build a diverse workforce and leadership that reflects the communities we serve. We recognise that diverse perspectives strengthen decision-making, innovation and impact, and we are committed to listening, learning and improving our practices over time.

At Goods For Good, inclusion means creating a culture where people feel safe, valued and supported to be themselves at work. We promote flexible working, reasonable adjustments and open dialogue, and we encourage all staff, volunteers and trustees to take shared responsibility for upholding these values.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
