About us
Who we are
We are a friendly group of trustees who manage the Parish Hall. We maintain the sunstance and structure of the building, manage bookings and run a successful community cafe.
We are looking to the future and hoping to turn our charity into a community Hub. This will focus on health and well being and entitle us to some Grant funding. We already have two yoga groups and a dementia cafe, but seek to broaden out our horizons if possible for well being groups.
We also hope to encourage and promote musicians and performers as we have a large stage.
The hall was built in 1954 and we want it to continue and thrive in 21st century.
Our culture and values
As Trustees our constitution requires us to use our meeting time effectively, always putting the needs of the Hall before personal ego. Our meetings are fully minuted.
We are required to keep tidy accounts, ensure open dialogue with all other village institutions and create a friendly and inclusive environment for parishioners/hirers so all can relax and enjoy this special building and surrounds.
Our monthly meetings include a representative from each village institution.
We are working closely with our Parish Council to repair some damage from the past. We embrace honesty and openness.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Our village has a population of 3.5 thousand.
We are largely a commuter village, with a few social houses with many near the Hall.
We have almost no diversity in our village as we are of a rural, traditionally farming community.
However, we would hope never to discriminate against any willing participant based on race , gender or social status.
