About us
Who we are
Our mission is to support ABI survivors and others affected by their injury, in Luton and the south of Central Bedfordshire, live independent and fulfilling lives. We aim to achieve this by providing information and guidance, emotional and practical support, purposeful group activities and new opportunities through our day centres and community service.
We run a day centre in Luton five days a week and one in Houghton Regis on Wednesdays. We also have a community service where clients are assisted with beenfit applications, crisis prevention, safeguarding and a whole host of support.
Our culture and values
- We are committed and dedicated to providing a quality and sustainable service.
- We have integrity regarding: the care we provide to individuals and families; with personal and sensitive information; and the donations we receive.
- People are treated as individuals but belong as a group within our Headway Luton community.
- We are caring and supportive to our clients, their families as well as our staff and volunteers.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Headway Luton is committed to promoting and upholding the principles of equality and equal opportunities throughout our organisation, along with the recognition and appreciation of the wide diversity of individuals and groups within our community to whom we provide services to.
Headway Luton will continually strive to take all possible and practical steps to prevent unlawful, misguided or insensitive discrimination of any kind, at any time, for any reason and will promote a fully inclusive service to anyone who meets our service eligibility criteria.
Equality, diversity and inclusion are not considered as separate principles of our intent but are fully interdependent on each other to meet the complex individual needs of every client and to the ongoing success of all Headway Luton services.
