About us
Who we are
Help4Homeless is a youth-led community group based in Peterborough, founded in 2025 by a 17-year-old who decided to stop walking past the problem. We create and distribute £10 wellbeing packs, containing essentials like warm socks, hygiene items, snacks, and hand warmers, directly to people sleeping rough in our city. Every pound donated goes straight into pack materials, with zero admin fees. We're small, scrappy, and just getting started, but we're already making a measurable difference, one pack and one person at a time.
Our culture and values
We believe you don't need permission, a degree, or a big budget to create change, you just need to care enough to start. Help4Homeless is driven by radical transparency, community accountability, and a refusal to accept that homelessness is inevitable. We're youth-led but not naïve: we ask hard questions, hold institutions to account, and work collaboratively with everyone who shares our goals. Our volunteers and committee members are trusted to bring their whole expertise and aren't buried in bureaucracy. We move fast, we're honest about what we don't know, and we treat every person we help with dignity.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Help4Homeless is committed to ensuring that everyone who volunteers, leads, or supports our work is treated fairly and with respect, regardless of age, background, ethnicity, gender, disability, religion, or any other characteristic. We actively welcome people from all walks of life, the diversity of perspective on our committee makes us better. Decisions are made on merit, and we expect all those involved with Help4Homeless to uphold these standards in how they represent and conduct themselves on behalf of the organisation.
