About us
Who we are
The Hounslow Wellbeing Network is a free community wellbeing service run by The Arts Centre Hounslow. We bring people together across the borough through creativity, movement, conversation and connection, so fewer people have to deal with isolation and poor mental health on their own.
The network started with around 50 people. Today it has over 2,000 members, 26 weekly sessions, 70+ partners and 50+ volunteers. Many of our volunteers first came through the door as members.
We work with the NHS, the council, the voluntary sector and local communities. Our members shape what we do, and they help run it too.
Belong. Breathe. Become.
Our culture and values
We're values-led, and the values show up in how we work day to day.
- Inclusion: Everyone is welcome, whatever their background, age, ability or story.
- Belonging: We build spaces where people feel they matter, not just spaces they attend.
- Co-production: Members, volunteers and staff design and shape services together.
- Destigmatising mental health: We talk about it openly and treat it as part of ordinary life.
It's a small, close team with a lot of trust and a lot of ownership. People here are expected to take initiative, look after each other and stay close to the community we serve.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
The Hounslow Wellbeing Network is committed to being an inclusive employer and service. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, and particularly from groups underrepresented in the charity sector. We value lived experience alongside formal qualifications.
We make reasonable adjustments at every stage of recruitment and employment. If you need anything changed to apply or interview, tell us and we'll sort it. We don't discriminate on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
