Who we are

Imkaan is a feminist organisation dedicated to addressing violence against Black and minoritised women and girls. Imkaan is the only UK-based, feminist organisation dedicated to addressing violence against Black and minoritised women and girls.

We work to influence policy and practice, strengthen the specialist ‘by and for’ women’s sector, and amplify the voices of the communities we serve. Our work is rooted in anti-racism, intersectional feminism, and social justice.  

Imkaan uses a human rights and social justice framework to achieve systemic change through the inclusion of Black and minoritised women and girls in all aspects of society, including and promoting their participation, representation and involvement.
