Improving Health (IHL)

Who we are

Improving Health Limited (IHL) is a GP federation uniting all 18 GP practices in south Southwark. We are led by a board which is made up of local clinicians, and supported by an operational team. 

Strategic objectives

• Support the South Southwark Primary Care Network and neighbourhoods to flourish and develop their workforce to improve patient outcomes.
• Strong primary care in south Southwark – working collaboratively to thrive in a new commissioning environment: working at scale whilst retaining local focus.
• Support our member practices to be more effective and resilient organisations.
• Shape new models of delivery with partners to improve the quality of life for our population.

Our vision

Local people are able to access excellent, proactive and coordinated care consistently and equitably, delivered in a model of primary care that is financially viable and which offers sustainable and fulfilling careers to the whole primary care team.

Our mission

To work with member practices so that they are better able to work together (and with other partners) to maximise their financial sustainability, to support practical workforce development and to enable more consistent and equitable delivery of high quality care.
