Everyone at invisible shares the same passion to empower communities to break the cycle of poverty and support themselves over the long term. We are also on a mission to reinvent charity for our generation. We are a diverse and eclectic group of world-changers and visionaries with expertise in everything from psychology, fashion, luxury, philanthropy, advertising, journalism, to finance. We are all volunteers and do not receive a paid salary. Only our employees working hands on in the field receive remuneration.
We named the organisation invisible because children in poverty are made to feel invisible by society. But we see them. We stand with them. The word in is an action word meaning ‘a way of becoming involved in something or of influencing someone’. Visible by definition means ‘to be seen’.
Invisible provides hope and resources for those without life’s essentials.
Invisible launched October 2013. Our registered UK charity number is 1155656. Our charity is registered as ‘Not Invisible’ but our working name is ‘Invisible’.

Our mission is to bring real and lasting change to children in poverty. We do this by creating partnerships with communities and implementing programs which will reduce their daily struggles, invest in their potential, and provide them with the opportunity to grow up healthy, educated, and prepared to succeed and contribute to society.
Our vision is a global community, free from poverty, where children are protected and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
School Feeding Program, Manila
Malnutrition among children is a serious concern in the Philippines today. Hunger and malnutrition are a serious hindrance to improving student achievement and outcomes in the public schools. Present data indicates that there’s around 562,000 severely wasted and around 1.5M wasted elementary school children or a total of about 2M children in the Philippines.
In Quezon City alone, there are around 10,000 severely wasted children. In partnership with Ateneo de Manila University’s Center for Educational Development , invisible works towards the improvement of hunger and malnutrition by providing feeding programs to these severely wasted children. They receive free daily lunch every day. This meal is likely their only meal of the day.
The breakdown of costs for our school feeding program:
It costs PHP 11.50 (USD 0.26 and GBP 0.16) per child per day
PHP 1,495.00 (USD 34.06 or GBP 20.86) per child per school year
That amount includes operational expenses eg. water, gas, salary for 2 paid personnel in addition to the daily food ingredients.
Children in our feeding program are monitored regularly. BMI and school performance are measured every 3 months. Once a child is enrolled into our feeding program, he/she is entitled to receive free meals for the entire duration of his/her primary education.
