About us
Who we are
Junction Point CIC is a social enterprise dedicated to helping changemakers succeed. We believe that people with bold ideas can transform communities but too often, they face barriers of confidence, skills, or support. That’s where we come in.
We equip changemakers with the knowledge, tools, and connections they need to turn vision into action. From training and mentoring to peer communities and resources, our role is to guide, connect and champion purpose-driven people at every stage of their journey.
We work across four broad areas:
- Inspiring more changemakers - grassroots, local change.
- Upskilling Founders & community leaders - training, coaching, consultancy, networking
- Professionalising the sector - training for sector advisers & coaches
- Developing the regional ecosystem - advocating for the sector across North East.
At Junction Point, we don’t just support good ideas, we help them grow into lasting impact.
Our culture and values
Our Core Beliefs
-
Changemakers drive real change. We believe individuals with passion and purpose can transform communities and tackle the biggest challenges of our time.
-
Everyone deserves a fair chance. Barriers like knowledge, confidence, and access to networks should never stop a good idea from thriving.
-
Collaboration is power. Change is stronger when people work together, share learning, and lift each other up.
-
Sustainability matters. Impact should last. We help build resilient organisations that avoid “hand-to-mouth” survival.
-
Local change creates global impact. Strong grassroots action is the foundation for wider systems change.
Our Working Practices
-
Accessibility first. We design our services to be inclusive, affordable and adaptable to different needs.
-
Evidence-led. We base our training, consultancy and advocacy on data, research and real-world practice.
-
Reflective & adaptive. We learn alongside our community, evolving our work to stay relevant and effective.
-
Partnership-oriented. We work openly with funders, partners and communities to build collective impact.
-
Integrity always. We are transparent, ethical and purpose-driven in everything we do.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Our Approach to Fairness and Opposing Discrimination
At Junction Point CIC, fairness and inclusion are at the heart of our work. We recognise that social change can only be achieved when everyone has an equal opportunity to contribute and thrive.
We are committed to:
-
Equal opportunities: Recruitment, training, and progression are based on skills and potential, never on background, identity, or circumstance.
-
Inclusive culture: We foster a working environment where every voice is valued, and differences are respected as strengths.
-
Proactive accessibility: We design our services, communications, and learning environments to be accessible and adaptable, removing barriers wherever possible.
-
Zero tolerance: We actively oppose discrimination, harassment, or bias of any kind across our workforce, partners, and community.
-
Continuous learning: We regularly review our policies, seek feedback, and provide training to ensure fairness is not just a principle but a lived practice.
By embedding these commitments, we aim to create a workforce and culture that reflect the diversity of the changemakers and communities we serve.
