About us
Who we are
Community is at the heart of everything Keychange does. As a Christian charity, we're inspired by the example of Jesus to love and serve others through caring communities. Working in older people's social care and homelessness support, we provide care, support, personal development, and well-being services across nine sites in England, consisting of seven residential care homes for older people and two housing communities for young people, with an additional housing site in development. Our office in London provides a support function of central services to our communities to enable them to operate at the most effective level with a focus on delivering quality care and support.
Our culture and values
Keychange exists to create communities of care, connection and purpose for those who are vulnerable, isolated or in need of support. As a Christian charity, we are motivated by the love of Jesus to serve others with dignity, compassion, and hope. Our mission is to provide high-quality accommodation, care and support for older people, women and young people—enabling them to live full and flourishing lives. We believe that everyone is created in the image of God and deserves to be seen, known, and valued. Whether in our residential homes or through our community initiatives, we work to build safe, inclusive environments where people can thrive in relationship with others and explore their faith journey if they wish.
At Keychange, our culture is shaped by a deep commitment to people—both those we support and those who work with us. We believe in leading with compassion and clarity, acting with honesty and accountability, building strong and respectful relationships, and embracing the unique strengths each individual brings. Our shared purpose—to enable lives filled with dignity, connection and hope—unites us, while our transparent and inclusive approach ensures we continue to learn, grow, and deliver lasting impact in every community we serve.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
At Keychange, we are committed to fostering a workplace where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. We actively promote equality of opportunity and work to ensure that no one experiences discrimination on the basis of age, race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, faith, or any other protected characteristic. As a values-driven organisation, we celebrate diversity and recognise the strength it brings to our teams and the communities we serve. We are continually reviewing our practices to create an inclusive environment—ensuring our recruitment, progression, and day-to-day working practices are transparent, equitable, and supportive of all. Our Christian ethos underpins a deep respect for the inherent value of every individual, and we are committed to creating a culture where all staff can thrive and belong.
