About us
Who we are
Life for a Life Memorial Forests is a UK registered charity (1096422) dedicated to creating beautiful, sustainable woodland spaces where people can remember loved ones through the planting of trees. For over 25 years, we have worked in partnership with local authorities and landowners to establish and manage memorial forests that enhance biodiversity, support climate resilience, and provide meaningful places for reflection. We take care of everything from planting and mapping individual memorial trees to long-term land stewardship, ensuring each forest thrives for generations to come.
Our culture and values
Our culture is rooted in care, integrity and long-term stewardship. As a registered charity, our core objective is to create and protect memorial forests that provide lasting environmental, social and emotional benefit. We believe remembrance should leave a positive legacy for both people and planet, which is why we are committed to sustainable land management, biodiversity enhancement and responsible growth.
Collaboration is central to how we work and we build trusted partnerships with local authorities, landowners and communities to ensure each forest is sensitively designed and professionally managed. We are proud that our work also enables us to give back, providing financial donations, practical support and community contributions in the areas where we operate. We value compassion in our interactions, excellence in our delivery, and accountability in the way we steward charitable funds and care for the landscapes entrusted to us.
