About us

Who we are

Joining Lincolnshire Rape Crisis means becoming part of an organisation that is ambitious for survivors, committed to social justice and invested in its staff. We recognise the skill, emotional resilience and dedication required to work with survivors of sexual violence, and we are committed to creating a workplace culture where staff feel valued, supported and able to develop.

Our culture and values

FEMINISM

We believe that sexual violence is both a cause and consequence of gender inequality. We are proud to be a feminist organisation and we will endeavour to fight for the rights of women and girls.

EQUITY

Equity is a fundamental human right. We recognise that our clients are discriminated against because of gender, ethnicity, religion, age, disability and sexual orientation. We are committed to fighting for equity and we will strive for inclusivity for all.

EMPOWERMENT

We are committed to empowering you to be able to claim your rights and make the decisions that affect your life. We support all clients using the empowerment model.

RESPECT

At Lincolnshire Rape Crisis everyone will be treated with dignity and respect. We will respect your individual life story and experiences. We will always believe you.

TRUST

You can trust our services to be confidential and for us to provide appropriate and safe spaces. We work transparently and honestly. Our integrity and your trust in our services is a priority.

CHOICES

Offering you choice is paramount to our work at Lincolnshire Rape Crisis. We will be led by the choices that you make. We recognise and embrace you as the expert of you.

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

We aim to provide a service which actively promotes equity, equality of opportunity, and freedom from direct and associative discrimination. We will treat all people respectfully and equitably.

What does this mean?

Anyone who demonstrates these behaviours will not be able to access our services, and we will not employ anyone who does not show a clear commitment to our service values and our approach to tackling discrimination.
