Macc values and aims
Volunteer Centre Manchester is a support service for volunteers and volunteer-involving organisation delivered by Macc. Macc is the voluntary and community sector support organisation for the city of Manchester.
Macc’s purpose:
To encourage, support and develop voluntary and community groups and individuals to have a real influence over the places and communities in which they live.
Core values:
Being Supportive: providing mutual support and encouraging one another
Being Cooperative: facilitating positive change in society by working with people
Being Influential: harnessing people’s skills and building their confidence to
shape and inform policy and practice
Macc’s shared beliefs:
Every individual and community has unique skills, talents, knowledge and insights that are important.
Our collective skills, knowledge and lived experience uniquely equip us to do the work we do.
Macc’s strategic aims:
- Gathering information and ideas to support the voluntary and community sector in making sense of changing circumstances and emerging opportunities.
- Exploring and creating new ways of working to effect positive change that are informed by the experience and perspectives of others.
