About us
Who we are
MFS mobilises parent communities to work with their primary schools to strengthen positive cultures and age-appropriate practices that challenge harmful gender norms and misogyny.
Our culture and values
Child-centred, preventative action
We act early, upstream and preventatively to support children’s healthy development, wellbeing and safety, using age-appropriate, proportionate approaches.
Partnership and shared responsibility
We work through collaboration, trust and shared responsibility between parents, schools and communities — not blame, shame or fault-finding.
Intersectional inclusion
We recognise that gender norms and misogyny intersect with race, disability, class, culture, faith, sexuality and inequality, and we commit to inclusive approaches that reflect the lived realities of diverse children and families.
Strengths-based, respectful engagement
We build on what families, schools and communities already do well, creating spaces for open, constructive and respectful dialogue grounded in care, empathy and mutual respect.
Positive masculinity and inclusion of boys and men
We celebrate boys and men as part of the solution, supporting healthy, positive expressions of masculinity and rejecting narratives that frame them as the problem.
Evidence-informed and hope-filled
We are guided by research, safeguarding principles and best practice, while remaining grounded in real-world contexts and driven by a belief in positive, possible change.
